NewsSnakes Win Fourth Straight
The Cottonmouths picked up their fourth consecutive victory with a 3-2 win over the Pensacola Ice Flyers Friday night. Matthew Robertson got Pensacola on the board first with a shorthanded goal at 8:31 of the first period. Levi Lind recorded his first point since his return from a three-month call-up to the CHL, collecting a goal at 17:44 of the first to tie the game at 1. Derek Pallardy gave the Snakesk a 2-1 lead but Pensacola would tie it up heading into the third period. At 9:23 of the third, John Sullivan gave Columbus a 3-2 lead, ultimately giving them the victory. Ian Vigier stopped 31 of 33 shots in the win. The Snakes close to within seven points of first place.
