NewsSnakes, Loewen Shut Out Surge on Road
Andrew Loewen picked up his first professional shutout as the Snakes defeated the Mississippi Surge 2-0 on the road Friday night. With the win, the Snakes remain tied with Knoxville for second place. Sam Bowles got the Snakes on the board in the first period with a goal assisted by Pete MacDougall at 11:08 of the period. After a scoreless second, John Sullivan made it 2-0, assisted by Levi Lind. Loewen stopped all 26 shots he faced. Both teams were 0 for 3 on the powerplay. The Snakes head to Augusta to face the first-place RiverHawks Saturday night. Click here to go back to news articles |
