NewsLind Leads Snakes to VictoryDate: Nov 21, 2009 Rookie forward Levi Lind scored a natural hat trick in a 5:28 span of the first period, guiding the Snakes to a 4-1 victory over the Louisiana IceGators Friday night. Lind got the Snakes on the board at 4:34 of the first with a powerplay goal from Dan Leslie and Tim Green. He picked up a shorthanded goal under three minutes later, with assists from Jesse Cole and Will Barlow. Two minutes and three seconds later, he picked up his third consecutive special teams goal with a powerplay goal from Cole and Tim Hockley. Frank Littlejohn got Louisiana on the board in the second period with a powerplay goal. A slapshot from Tyler Johnson gave the Snakes a three-goal lead with just under four minutes left in regulation to seal the win 4-1 victory for the Snakes. Ian Vigier continued his dominance in the net, allowing just one goal for the second consecutive game. The Snakes have now given up just 4 goals in their last three games. With the victory, Ian Vigier moves into the top goaltender spot in the league with an impressive 1.82 goals against average over five games. The Snakes rookies continue their stellar play for the Snakes this season as rookie Levi Lind picked up three goals and an assist, while rookie Jesse Cole collected three assists. Lind is tied for 11th in the league in scoring with 11 points in nine games. The Snakes host the Huntsville Havoc tSaturday at 7:30 p.m. Former Snakes 1997-98 CHL champion Randy 'Rocket' Murphy makes his debut at the Snake Pit as the head coach of the Havoc.
