NewsSnakes Fall to Havoc, 5-2Date: Nov 22, 2009 The Columbus Cottonmouths fell to the Huntsville Havoc by a score of 5-2 Saturday night. Rookie Levi Lind continued his hot start to his first professional season with a powerplay goal to give the Snakes a 1-0 lead. Huntsville would tied the game in the second period and Snakes forward Jeff Martens gave the Snakes a 2-1 advantage at 11:32 of the second period. Huntsville tied the game just over a minute later, and the two teams headed into the third period tied at two. The Havoc went on a short scoring frenzy in the third period, scoring three goals in a 1:21 span and sealing the road victory. Chad Rycroft took the loss in net for the Snakes, dropping to 2-2 on the season. The game featured five fights and 88 total penalty minutes. The Snakes fell to 5-5 on the season. Levi Lind lead the Snakes offense attack, with four goals and two assists on the weekend. The Snakes host the Pensacola IceFlyers Thursday and the Mississippi Surge Saturday. Thursday is our first Dollar Days of the season, with $1 hotdogs, popcorn, nachos and sodas, and $2 draft beer. Saturday is Fight Night with special guests from the UFC, Forrest Griffin and Alex Karalexis. Game tickets and meet and greet tickets are on sale now.
